Melanie Witcher Henley, 44, of Paragould, departed this life in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 21, 2017. Melanie was born April 10, 1973, in Paragould. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leonard Hill, Grandad Willard Randol; and paternal grandpa, Almos Witcher.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Henley; daughters, Katie and Jessica Henley of the home and Erica Henley of Nashville; parents, Dewayne and Kitty Witcher, Paragould; maternal grandmother, Louise Randol; paternal grandmother, Euva Witcher; Aunt Maelena (Louis) Phillips and Uncle Keith (Susan) Hill of Paragould; Aunt Patty (Jeffery) Bozada of St. Charles, Missouri; Aunt Belinda (Ray) Morris of South Carolina; special cousin, Kristi Jegla of St. John, Michigan, who was the closest to a sister to her; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Melanie was employed by Cyient of Paragould, and she was beloved by all her co-workers and work family. She was an avid photographer, and she would often enter her pictures into contests. Melanie loved the Spring River. A favorite pastime that began with her father, she went fishing when she could. Melanie loved the beach, and she always wanted to spend time with her family. She loved to garden, and she made the best salsa from what she grew.
A visitation is Saturday from 11am-1pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 1pm with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
