Mary Veona Stone

Mary Veona Byrd Stone, 90 of Paragould died Tuesday at Greene Acres Nursing Home. Mary was retired from Belks as a buyer in the Children’s Department, owned and operated Don And David Children’s Shop for many years and was of the Full Gospel belief. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ceral Stone, an infant son, a son, Joe David Stone, parents, Mack and Francis Strickland Byrd; sisters, Leoma Smith and Vastie Baker; brothers Edgar and Arlin Byrd; grandson, David Keith Stone and great grandson, Andrew Wayne Mitchell, son-in-law, Sunny Vincent. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Virginia Vincent of Crystal City, MO and Ella and Wayne Wilkins of Paragould; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Brenda Stone of Lafe; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Cheryl Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, David Wilkins, Bret Vincent, Tyler Trivitt, Blake Jones, Dale Mitchell and John Glaser. Honorary pallbearers Mark Withers, Tony Withers and Randy Martin. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
