Mary Frances "Frankie" Maag, 92, of Paragould, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born in Corning on April 21, 1930, to the late Oscar and Essie Lacost Vines. She married Charles Eugene Maag on November 3, 1951. Frankie was a seamstress for 45 years. She first worked at Ely Walker Shirt Factory and later owned Maag's Drapery Shop. Singing in the choir at East Side Baptist Church always made Frankie smile, as did music in general. She loved teaching Sunday School, Bible School, and being with her friends and family. She made many friends in her Sunday School classes during her 77 years as a member of East Side. Frankie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Mary Jon Maag; great grandsons, Nathan and Jordan Delacerda; brothers, Howard Landers, Gerald Vines, and Ralph G. Vines; and sisters, Dorothy Vines and Sylvia Fresen.
Left to cherish her memories include her son, John Maag of Paragould; daughter, Diane (Rick) Frie of Jenks, Oklahoma; grandson, Jarrod (Alycia) Frie of Jenks; granddaughter, Sarah (Jared) Delacerda of Jenks; great granddaughters, Alexandria Frie, Kaitlyn Frie, Claire Delacerda, and Emma Delacerda of Jenks; great grandsons, Sutton Frie, Trey (Mo) Frie, and Aaron Delacerda of Jenks; brother-in-law, Gale (Peggy) Maag of Paragould; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 am at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 10:30 am with Rev. Rick L. Frie officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
