Martha Jane Blalock

Martha Jane Blalock, 88, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday at Belle Meade Nursing Center. She was born in Piggott and was a retired homemaker who loved gardening, camping, fishing, the outdoors, bird watching, and was a member of the First Church of God.
Martha was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lennie Underwood Bell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Blalock, three brothers, one sister and one granddaughter, Sarah Beth Hurst.

Survivors include her daughter, Lennie (Bill) Hurst; granddaughter, Farra (Steve) Wright; and two great grandchildren, Will Risinger and Rossy Joe Risinger all of Paragould; step sons, Michael and Rick Blalock.

Pallbearers will be Steve Wright, Will Risinger, Bruce Benson, Jeff Meyers, Donnie Fuller and Anthony Fuller. Rossy Joe Risinger will serve as Honorary Pallbearer. Martha's family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the excellent care and love she received while at Belle Meade Guest and Rehabilitation Center. M.J. loved each and every one of the friends she made during her stay at Belle Meade.

Visitation will be Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home and a Graveside service at 2:30 PM at Pine Log Cemetery with Rev. Tim Ohler officiating.
