Louis Audell "Red" Ashcraft

Louis Audell "Red" Ashcraft , 66, of Paragould, went to Heaven Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born January 16, 1944 in Parkin, Arkansas the son of the late Odie and Mattie Acuff Ashcraft. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Lynn Ashcraft, mother and father-in-law, Reverend Dewey and Virginia Burke, two brothers and one sister. Red asked Christ to come into his heart, November 24, 2007. He loved farming and the outdoors. He had a great love for his grandchildren and enjoyed playing with them during his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 39 years; Sharon Burke Ashcraft, of the home; children: Jennifer & Tim Miller, Sherry Bowden & Fiance Steve Hanley, Rickey & Judi Bowden, Sr; grandchildren: Destiny Bowden, Rickey Bowden, Jr., Daniel Miller, all of Paragould; sisters: Oney & Seamon Haynes of Wynne, Dianne Morrow, of Paragould; brothers: Al, Jimmy, Billy, and Donny Ashcraft; four sisters and brothers-in-law of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, at Heath Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Doug Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at at Pine Log Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny McDaniel, Judd Schug, Perry Greenway, Sonny Schug, Cletus Hale, and Gerald Eakers. Memorials may be sent to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E. Matthews, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
