Lloyd Jayson "Jay" Johnson

Lloyd Jayson "Jay" Johnson was born April 6, 1930 in Brookins, Clay County, to Jimmy and Delcie Johnson. He passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012, after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by friends and family when he joined his Lord. Jay was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker and was formerly employed by L.A. Darling and Brown Shoe Company. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter, Jessica Liddell. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anna Lee; two daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Douglas Threlkeld, and Robin and Greg Trout; one brother, Vernon Johnson of Potosi, Missouri; 7 grandchildren: Justin and Crystal Threlkeld, Barkley Threlkeld, Chelsea Liddell, Kristen Wimberly, Katie, Ory and Ethan Trout; 3 great grandchildren, Kyleigh Threlkeld, and Brantlee and Berkely Trout, all of Paragould; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Monday, from 11:00AM until 1:00 PM at Heath Colonial Chapel. His life will be celebrated Monday at 1:30PM at Heath Colonial Chapel.
