Lester Manuel Hammon

Lester Manuel Hammon, 88 of Paragould died Thursday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Lester was retired from Emerson Electric and was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tennie; son Manuel Hammon; daughters, Marla Sue and Marsa Lou Hammon; parents, John Jacob and Nellie Mae Saddler Hammon. Survivors include sons, Jimmy and Frankie Hammon of Paragould and Gerald Hammon of Flippin, AR; daughter, Sandy Boozer of Paragould; brothers, Melvin Hammon of Burton, MI, Bill Hammon of Ridgecrest, CA and Gene Hammon of Jonesboro; sisters, Althea Hester of Kancas City, MO and Ruth Rhodes of Paragould. 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Todd Hammon, Ian Hammon, Darin Hammon, Kevin Hammon, Dennis Hammon and Colby Hammon. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Altenbaumer, Brad Hammon, Seth Hammon, Randal Carroll, Owen Hammon and Tristen Hammon, Luke Hammon, Caleb Hammon, Logan Sasser, Grant Sasser, Sawyer Sasser, Dillon Hammon, Sean Altenbaumer, Zack Altenbaumer, Ethan Altenbaumer, Zack Foster and Michael Flemming. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Brown’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
