Lela Mae Hoskins

Lela Mae Hoskins, 94, of Paragould, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Rector Nursing and Rehab in Rector, AR. She was born February 9, 1918 in Tuckerman, Arkansas the daughter of the late James and Burtha MacReath Watkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paschal Hoskins, son, James Hoskins, daughter Phyllis Hoskins, grandson, Randy Hoskins, and brothers, O'Neal and John Watkins. Lela worked for 22 years at Brown Shoe Company in Leachville, was a homemaker who loved dancing, quilting, cooking and gardening, and a member of Pruetts Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Janice and William Martinez of Downey, CA, Bobby and June Hoskins of Piggott, Danny and Rose Hoskins, Paulette Parker, Lonnie and Joyce Hoskins, and Brenda and Dennis Matthews, all of Paragould; 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 10:00 AM, Tuesday.
