Pocahontas - Lawrence "Larry" Dee Kueter, 79 of Pocahontas, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Larry was born July 8, 1938, in Paragould, AR to the late Theodore "Dick" and Gertrude Kueter. He was preceeded in death by his parents; a brother; Thomas Kueter, a sister; Marilyn Kueter Turner, all of Paragould, AR, his first wife; Pocahontas Rose Baltz Kueter and a son, William Albert Kueter, both of Pocahontas, AR.
Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired from Kueter's Fish Farm. He enjoyed hunting, watching Nascar races, spending time with his family, and swapping service stories with other veterans. He also had a passion for aviation.
He and Rose were married 44 years at her death. Together they had five children and six grandchildren. The grandchildren lovingly called him Peepaw or Peeps. Watching them grow filled him with much joy and pride, each was his favorite and he always had a $20.00 bill for them, "just because".
After Rose passed, Larry was blessed and found companionship and love with Ms. Brenda. They celebrated together with family and friendsfor 11 years.
Larry prayed daily, attended Mass and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Larry is survived by his wife, Brenda Scott-Kueter of Munford, TN; son, Brian (Shaun) Kueter of Clarksville, TN, daughters; Laura (Tim) Woods, Martha (Ted) Holt, Catherine (Bobby "Hoot") Tedder, all of Pocahontas; brothers Bill Kueter of Jonesboro, Ted Kueter of Mountain Home; sisters, Carolyn Boling and Janet Kendrick both of Jonesboro, Barbara DeRoe and Susan Williams both of Paragould and grandchildren; Hunter Kueter, Dalton and Karsyn Woods, Clara Lynn and Teddi K. Holt and Rex Tedder.
Rosary will be prayed Monday, April 2, 2018 at 5:00 pm followed by visitation, at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould, AR. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Pocahontas, AR. Burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Pocahontas, AR. Pallbearers include: Glynn Scott, Allen Meier, Steve Kueter, Joseph Kueter, Daniel Kueter, Will Kueter, Doug Baltz, Scott Baltz and Chris Brangenberg.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Fred Carter, Gary Meier, David Meier, David Boling, John Stephen Boling, and Elijah Williams.
