Juanita Wright

Juanita Madonna Gonser Wright, 87, of Lafe stepped into Heaven on Friday, October 21, 2022, at The Green House Cottages Of Belle Meade. She was born October 28, 1934, in Greene County to Benjamin Harrison and Lillian Justine Melton Gonser. She retired from Emerson Electric in Paragould and was a homemaker and a faithful member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Vernon Wright; eight brothers: Ervie, Arvle, Milen, James, J.W., Oneil, Odell, and Eddie Gonser; and two sisters: Carolyn Vaughn and Ina Gonser.

Survivors include two sons and daughters, Verlon and Pam Wright and Keith and Vicky Wright of Lafe; two grandchildren, Bryan Wright, of Lafe, and Hanah and Charlie Smith of Haliday; two great-grandsons, Eli and Bryce Smith; special family: Brandon, Jenna, and Draco Thompson, Namine’ Feagin, Stormy Thompson, Janice Judd, and Vickie Moylan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She also leaves behind the wonderful staff at Belle Meade, including Taylor Davenport, Skyler Arms, and Audrey Pitcher.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 25, from 6 to 8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26, at 1 PM at Heath Funeral Home with Bros. Jerry Jolly, Boyce Cate, and Fred Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Wright Cemetery.
