Joe T Skaggs

Joe T. Skaggs, 87 of Paragould died Sunday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1933, in Greene County to Daniel and Myrl Skaggs. He was a retired Southern Baptist preacher pastoring churches in Greene County and Izard County for many years. He was also retired from Emerson Electric. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 children, Adrian, Bobby and DeVonda; siblings, Bill, Alvin, Burl, Marie, Berniece and Geraldine.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Skaggs; 2 daughters, Carrie (Wade) Hamilton and Kristen (Wayne) Eaton; 3 grandchildren, Steven (Mattie) Hamilton, Adrianna Hamilton and Tyler Eaton; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his Men's Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 at Heath Funeral Home Graveside services will follow at 10:30 A.M. at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Packy Magel officiating.

Memorial may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
