Jimmy Don Combs

Jimmy Don "Jim" Combs, 76, of Paragould, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. In 2013, he retired as the Parts Manager of Glen Sain GMC, Buick, Cadillac of Paragould after over 50 years. He married Sharon Matheney on May 1, 1965. Jim loved carpentry, and he built several homes over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and drawing house plans. He was the son of the late Tas and Pearl Combs. Jim was also preceded in death by his sister, Carol Hester; brother, Dewayne Combs; brother-in-law, Bobby Matheney; and sister-in-law, Faye Matheney.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sharon Matheney Combs of Paragould; son, Terry Combs (Angie) of Paragould; daughter, Julie Farmer (Jason) of Lafe; grandson, Seth Farmer (Hayley) of Mt. Home; granddaughters, Paisha Joiner (Bryton) of Beech Grove and Olivia Combs of Paragould; great grandson, Lawson Joiner; soon-to-arrive great granddaughter, Rocklynn Farmer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Mary Hester; brother-in-law, Vondal Matheney; and numerous nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1-3 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 3pm with Pastor J.E. Mitchell officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tony and Duncan Matheney, Greg McCullar, Michael Rogers, and Casey and Chris Horner. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry McDonald, Bill Ray, Jerry Pillow, Dewayne Witcher, Barry Lloyd, and Gene McCullar.
