Jimmy Dan Maddox

January 4, 1939 — June 10, 2015

Jimmy Dan Maddox, 76 of Jonesboro died Wednesday at his residence. He was an Architect associated with Little and Maddox Architects from 1968-2003 and then Jim Maddox Architect from 2003-2012. He graduated from Western Military Academy in 1957 and graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1963 with both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Architecture degrees. Jimmy Dan was a member of St. Timothy’s Anglican Church in Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Alfred and Ernie Futrell Maddox. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Dollins Maddox of the home; sons, Mark Maddox of Jonesboro and Tim (Cyndi) Maddox of Fayetteville, AR; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church in Jonesboro. Memorial services will follow at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow the service at the church. Honorary Pallbearers are Alan Moore, Woody Woods, Kevin Burton, Jerry Noble, Houston Wigginton, Bob Robison, Charlie Schearer, Terry Henson, Terry Burton, Mike Roleson, Lonnie Weston, Jerry Brackett, Mike Dungan. The family request that memorials be made to St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 419 West Highland Drive Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 or NEA Breast Cancer Support Group, P.O. Box 4055, Jonesboro, AR 72403.
