James Wilbourn Thomason

January 3, 1930 — December 5, 2016

James Wilbourn Thomason, 86, of Paragould, passed away Monday at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was a retired barber of 44 years. James served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the son of the late Jack and Vestal Smith Thomason. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ray, Hugh, Herb, Bobby Jay, and Billy Gene Thomason, and sister, Margie Randles.

James is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Oma Lee; sons, Vence Thomason and Victor Thomason, both of Paragould; grandchildren, Ryan Thomason of Paragould and Jordan Thomason of Fort Gordon, Georgia; brother, Jackie; and sisters, Bonnie Scott and Ann Nicosia.

Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Thursday at 1 PM at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Gary Lee Simons, John Carlile, Harry Chunn, Jr., and Melvin, Ryan, and Jordan Thomason.
