J. B. Silas Friar

J. B. Silas Friar, 87, of Paragould, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. J.B. was born April 30, 1926, in Beech Grove, Arkansas to the late Jess and Evaline Like Friar. He was also preceded in death by his grandchildren, Anissa Mobley and Tressia Sisco, brother, Paul Friar, sisters, Mary Bateman, Retha Clifton,and Dorothy Garner. He was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment. J.B. was an Army WWII veteran and was a member of Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife: Marvine Russom Friar of the home; sons: Arlon Russom of Paragould, Tommy Friar, Billy Friar, both of Beech Grove; grandchildren raised as children: Angelic Davis, Thomas M. Friar; sister: Yuvonne Smith, all of Paragould, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday at Heath Funeral Home.
