Irene Anderson Ashby

Irene Anderson Ashby, 93, of Paragould, passed away Friday at Chateau on the Ridge. She was a housewife and member at First United Methodist Church. Irene loved to read and sew. She was a square dancer, member of the Red Hat Society, Eastern Star, and a former Den Mother with the Cub Scouts. Irene was the daughter of the late Louis L., Sr. and Florence Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Ashby, Sr.; brothers, John, Mark, and H.C. Anderson; and sister, Agnes Dyche.

Irene is survived by her son, Frank H. Ashby, Jr., Strawberry Plains, TN; daughter, Carol Ashby Moreland, Paragould; grandchildren, Jennifer Steele, Fort Smith, Libby Glasco, Paragould, and Emily Ashby, Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Lindsey and Lauren Steele, Fort Smith, Julia Taylor Hansen, Seattle, WA, and Garrett Taylor, Paragould; brothers, Louis L. Anderson, Jr., Montgomery, AL, and George Anderson, Blytheville; and sister, Willie Hall, Blytheville;

Visitation is Monday evening from 5:30-7 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral Service is Tuesday at 10 am at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville. Pallbearers are Robby Glasco, Mark Steele, Randall Hall, L.G. Dyche, Dennis Anderson, and Garrett Taylor.
