Henry Jackson Wood

Henry Jackson Wood, 86, of Paragould, died Saturday at his residence. Mr. Wood was a retired Die Maker from General Motors and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Robert and Maggie Wood. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Luther, Stanley, Clyde, Benny, and Walter Wood; sisters, Lorene Owens and Juanita Howery; and grandson, Kris Wood. Henry is survived by his wife, Retha Wood, of the home; sons, Kenny (Tammy) Wood of Flint, MI, and Keith Wood of Roanoke, VA; daughter, Karen(Gerald) Moore of Paragould; brothers, Ervin Wood of Roanoke, VA, and Roy Wood of Floyd, VA; sister, Shelby Jean Connor of Christiansburg, VA; grandsons, David Moore (Kristen Bowles) and Joshua (Jessica) Danaho, both of Paragould; granddaughter, Tiffany (Rock) Hill of Meraux, LA; and great grandchildren, Mariah and Jade Hill of Meraux, LA, and Bryson and Alyssa Danaho of Paragould. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11am Tuesday with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
