Gladys Ruth Edmiston

Gladys Ruth Edmiston, 74, Henderson, TX, formerly of Paragould, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 13, 1936 in Greene County, AR the daughter of the late George W. and Sadie Jackson Retherford. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James, Jack and Leonard Retherford and sister, Mary Genevieve Holloway. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband: Frankie Edmiston, Jr., of the home; sons and daughters-in-law: Frank and Brenda Edmiston of Bartlett, TN; Don and Rachel Edmiston of Henderson, TX; daughter and son-in-law: Phillis and Dale Mifflin of Vilonia, AR; grandchildren: Lee and Scotty Mifflin, Jennifer, Mary Ruth and Sadie Edmiston; great-grandchildren: Justin, Harley and Lilly Mae Mifflin, Jason Wood, Jimmie French, Kayla Jacobson. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, at Heath Funeral Home. The celebration of her life will be at 3:00 PM, Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Junior Vester officiating. Interment will follow at Brown's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Boling, Eric Coleman, Daniel Coleman, Danny Jernigan, Frank Reddick and Joe Utley. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Jones.
