Geneva Lucille Coleman

Geneva Lucille (Morrow) Coleman departed this life April 26, 2017 at the age of 95. She was born July 28, 1921 in New Madrid, Missouri to William and Myrtle (Cowan) Morrow.

Geneva was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ. She was Mom to her children, Grandma and GG to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She loved God and her family. She liked to garden, sit on her deck enjoying nature, and reading. She retired from Emerson Electric Company, Paragould, Arkansas in 1983.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Lee Coleman; one son, Larry Lee Coleman; two sons-in-law, Stillman Orick and Leon Carter; four brothers, Earnest, Carlos, Winfred, and Melvin Morrow; and two sisters, Kathryn Heflin and Nola Evans.

She is survived by her children, David (Nancy) Coleman, Ruth Orick, Velma (Dalton) Shewbuirt, Freda Carter, and Jeanette (Johnny) Williams; grandchildren, Michael Coleman, Teresa (Roth) Gourley, Brett (Mandy) Barnes, Stan Orick, Vickie (Donnie) Hopkins, Stephen Shewbuirt, Stacy (Heath) McGhee, Lisa Carter Johnson, Tony (Karen) Carter, Leslie Coleman, and Amanda Coleman; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and 2 special neighbors, Dennis and Donna Owens.

Heath Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation from 6-8 pm Sunday, April 30, 2017. Funeral at 11:00 am, Monday, May 1, 2017. Burial will be at Woods Chapel Cemetery following the service. Michael Cox and Michael Merideth will perform the services. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
