Gary D. Jones

Gary D. Jones, 64, of Overland Park, Kansas died Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born August 30, 1945 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He was a self employed carpenter. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mae Howard Jones; and two sisters, Gracie Balow and Inez Powell. Survivors include one daughter, Shawna Mull of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; son, Derek Jones of Kansas City, Missouri; and two sisters, Margie Wyatt of Paragould, Arkansas and Laverne Taylor of Overland Park, Kansas. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 am at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Walcott with Kenneth Camp officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 am at Heath Funeral Home on Wednesday prior to the service. Lasting memorials may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House or the American Cancer Society.
