Evelyn Jean Askew

Evelyn Jean Askew, 90, of Paragould, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was born on August 29, 1931 in Dexter, Missouri to the late James Mac and Fannie Scroggs McConnell. Evelyn was a military wife for forty-two years, a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daroyl Gene Askew; and sons Daroyl Glen Askew, and Daren Dean Askew.

Survivors include her daughter, Dara Lynn Askew (Scotty Smith) of Powhatan, Arkansas; son, Kenneth Gene McConnell (Jean) of Loganville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one God grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Linwood Cemetery.
