Ernie Altie Stewart

Ernie Altie Stewart, 85 of Marmaduke, died Sunday at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Altie was retired from 7up Bottling Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Florence Miller Mayfield; husband, Alvie Stewart; son, Louis Stewart; brother, Harvey Mayfield; sister, Louise Brown; grandchildren, Shannon Deming and David Stedman, Jr. Survivors include daughters, Mary Ann Ryon of Ladson, SC, Virginia Barnhart of Berkley, MO, Margaret Stedman of Paragould, Bertha Marie Pieper of Florissant, MO, and Sharon Ward of Paragould; son, Dennis Wayne Stewart of Paragould; brothers, Darvay Mayfield of Jonesboro, Alvin Mayfield of Dixie, Melbourne and Donald Mayfield of Paragould. 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bill Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
