Dallas L. Hyatt

December 14, 1929 — May 6, 2010

Dallas L. Hyatt, 80, of Paragould, went to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on May 6 at 3:00 PM at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was a self employed home builder for many years before he retired. He loved the Senior Bees and went to walk, exercise and fellowship with them four or five days a week. He also served as a board member as long as he was able. He loved to fish and camp with friends, but he especially loved his little dog, Molly, who gave him so much pleasure and comfort when he became confined to the home. For the past 42 years, he has been a member of the 10th Street Missionary Baptist Church of Paragould where he served his Lord faithfully. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary June Hicks Hyatt, of the home; sisters: Hannah Raley of Wynne and Mable Birdsong, Nashville, TN, self adopted daughter, Gayle Sprinkle, of Jonesboro, loving brother-in-law, Bill Hicks of Paragould and several nieces and nephews. The family will always remember, with thanksgiving, the loving care and kindness that was given to him, especially by Doctors' Stephen Woodruff, Ray Hall, Anthony White, Michael Rayborn, Brannon Treece, and all of the nursing staff at NEA Baptist Hospital and Health South Rehab Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Tenth Street Baptist Church on the corner of 10th and Main Streets, 2:00 PM, Sunday, with brethren David Webb, Boyce Cate and Fred Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery north of Jonesboro. Pallbearers are Darrell Rowland, Keith Right, Brian Wright, Guy Clark, Bob Wells, Andrew Jacobs, with Sherill Potter and Boyce E. Cate being honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be sent to Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church.
