Cecil Ezra Forehand, 92, of Paragould, passed from this life on Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born in Perkins, Oklahoma, on November 22, 1930, to the late James and Esther Forehand. Cecil joined the United States Army after high school. He served his country for 20 years during the Vietnam War and Korean Conflict. After retiring from the Army, Cecil attended Arkansas State University. He continued his life of service in law enforcement. Cecil served with the Paragould Police Department, Greene County Sheriff's Department, and Arkansas Highway Police. Before he retired, he served the city of Monette as the Chief of Police. Cecil was always looking to help others. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Forehand; and sisters, Opal Caudle and Francis Noblin.
Cecil is survived by his sons, Greg (Becky) Forehand and Tony (Elizabeth) Forehand, all of Paragould; daughters, Phyllis (Frank) Lariscey of Evans, Georgia and Cecilia (Greg) Walters of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Chelsea Regenia Forehand of Brookland; grandson, Tony Forehand, Jr. of Paragould; and sisters, Jean Gandy and Eula Mae Forehand, both of Brookland.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 12-1 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 1 PM with Packy Magel officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Tony Forehand, Jr., Alfread Forehand, Byron Forehand, Daryl Turner, Michael Turner, and Gary Caudle. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Harvest Baptist Church Homebound Ministry. Memorials may be sent to Harvest Baptist Church. For their care and compassion, Cecil's family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful staff at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.
