Carlton Leon Stanfill

June 18, 1933 — April 19, 2011

Carlton "T" Stanfill, 77, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord, April 19, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Jane Stanfill and his brother, Orvil. He was of the Christian faith. He was born June 18, 1933 in Dunklin County, Missouri. He farmed for several years in the Bard Community, was a self-employed gravel truck owner and retired from Emerson Electric after 29 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He traveled to Jamaica in 1998 to do missions work and helped build a church while there. He enjoyed fishing with his wife and friends at Reelfoot Lake. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gaye Stanfill; daughters and sons-in-law: Teresa and Tim Williams of Paragould; Cherye and Philip Faughn of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Kevin (Tonya) Eddings, Keith (Jamie) Eddings of Paragould; Lanie and Amy Faughn of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Mason, Karson and Kyler Eddings; brothers: Euel, Carl, Leland, Junior; sister: Carolyn Winn. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The celebration of his life will be Friday, 1:00 PM at Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Royce Boling officiating.
