It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Stevens, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. Bobby peacefully departed this world on December 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on October 15, 1936, Bobby led a life filled with simple pleasures and a profound appreciation for the outdoors. Known for his career as a dedicated truck driver, Bobby would often share stories of his adventures on the road, filled with tales of the places he had seen and the people he had met along the way.
When he wasn't behind the wheel, Bobby found solace in the tranquility of nature. Whether casting his fishing line into a peaceful lake or venturing out for a hunting excursion, he felt most at peace when surrounded by the beauty of the great outdoors. His love for these activities was matched only by his delight in watching classic western movies, where he would immerse himself in the tales of cowboys and their adventures.
A true people person, Bobby thrived in the company of others. He had a warm and welcoming spirit, and his home was always open to family and friends. Bobby took great pleasure in hosting gatherings, where he would regale everyone with his captivating stories, bringing smiles and laughter to all those he held dear.
Bobby was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, finding solace and strength in his unwavering faith. He sought comfort and guidance through the teachings of his church, and his dedication to his spiritual journey was an inspiration to all.
Bobby will be dearly missed by his surviving relatives, including his daughters, Tina Yawn and Anna (Jason) Isgriggs both of Union, Missouri; his sons, David (Joyce) Stevens of Washington, Missouri, Terry Stevens of Gerald, Missouri, and Billy Stevens of Gaston South Carolina, as well as his sisters, Carolyn Smith of Delaplaine and Betty (Charles) Bounds of Marthasville, Missouri.
