Betty Gail Smith

April 29, 1958 — March 24, 2022

Betty Gail Smith, 63, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. She retired from Arkansas Rehabilitation Services where she worked as a secretary. Betty was a member of Mt. Olive Free Pentecostal Church. Betty was the daughter of the late Arlie "Jack" and Betty Dixon Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Smith; sister, Carol Davis; and niece, Kelly Mote.

Survivors include her son, Jackie Smith (Nikki) of Lake City; daughter, Sylvia Smith of Oak Grove Heights; grandson, Alex Smith; sister, Pam Mote (David) of Jonesboro; and brothers, Larry Davis (Diane) of Lake City, Donnie Johnson (Sherry) of Lafe and Ricky Johnson of Brookland. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Monday March 28, 2022 at Heath Colonial Chapel at 10am with Rev. David Mote and Rev. Michael Lloyd officiating . Pallbearers are Erich Higgins, Garrett Bond, Ricky Johnson, Donnie Johnson, Wendell Kersey and Tim Rodney. Honorary Pallbearers include Daniel McMasters, Josh McMasters, Zach Adams, Bryan Higgins, Jeremy Higgins, Hunter Fletcher, Daniel Mote, Nick Davis and Charlie Davis. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
