Barbara Fisher

Barbara Fisher, 63, of Paragould, died Tuesday, at her home. Barbara was employed by Judge David Burnett as an official court reporter. She has been a court reporter for 21 years and was named Arkansas Court Reporter of the Year 2008. She was a member Mary's Catholic Church where she sang in the church choir, was a lector, served on the parish council, co-chairman of Bible studies and was an Oblate with Holy Angels Convent in Jonesboro. She was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin the daughter of Evelyn Hanson and the late Verland Hanson. She is survived by her husband: George Fisher of the home; mother, Evelyn Hanson; brother, David Hanson and his wife Gerry, all of Waupaca, Wisconsin; nephew, Rick Hanson of Weyauwega, Wisconsin; niece, Christine Bauer of Larsen, Wisconsin; two great nieces and one great nephew. A rosary will be held for family and friends at 6:00 PM Friday with the family receiving friends from 6:30-8:30 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The mass of Christian burial will be Saturday morning at 10:00 with Father Matt Garrison officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
