Alvis Wright Kieffner

Alvis "Bub" Kieffner, age 87, of Paragould, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at his residence. Alvis was a retired farmer and former employee of Security/Union Planters Bank. He was a member of Village Creek Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Fred and Bertha Kieffner. He was also preceded in death by five brothers. He is survived by his wife, Billie Jane (Holland) Kieffner of Paragould; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Mitzi Kieffner of Paragould; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Larry Phillips of Germantown, TN; brother, Bob Kieffner of Newport; sisters, Ona Ruff of Forrest City, Daisy Young of Flint, MI, Helen Cupp of Paragould, and Imogene Wilmoth of Stockton, CA; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be Sunday night from 5-7 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday at 12:00 Pm at Heath Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery. The family requests memorials are sent to Village Creek Church of Christ.
