Alfred "Al" Wade Boggs

September 11, 1938 — July 23, 2017

Alfred Wade "Al" Boggs, 78, of Marmaduke, passed away Sunday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was an Elder at Union Central Church of Christ where he attended for over 50 years. Al retired as a farmer, and he always loved being around the farm. He was the son of the late Arthur and Delia Boggs.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Rosalie Rice Boggs; daughter, Melanie (Steve) Bateman of Marmaduke; son, Darrin (Shawna) Boggs of Marmaduke; grandchildren, Nicholas (Johnna) Boggs, Josh (Ashley) Bateman, Dane (Shawna) Boggs, Danielle Bateman, Whitley (Kasey) Reagans, and Jenna Boggs; great grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Azaria, Analeigh, Kooper, and Raya; brothers, Harry Boggs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Roger Boggs of Paragould; sister, Carolyn Jones of Marmaduke; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Tuesday from 10-12 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at noon with Tim Wooldridge officiating. Burial is at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Please send memorials to Children's Home, Inc. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
