Johnnie Lou Carr

Johnnie Lou Carr, 90, of Paragould passed away Monday at Greene Acres Nursing Home. She was born in Greene County and had lived in Paragould most of her life. She was a cook at Greene Acres Nursing Home and Home for the Golden Years. She loved jigsaw puzzles, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Paragould Christian Church and was the daughter of the late Pat and Ada Jones Higgins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Carr; daughter, June Carr; two sisters; one brother; and step-son, Bill Carr.

She is survived by sons, John (Kathy ) Carr, Larry (Gloria) Carr, and Donnie Carr all of Paragould, Dale (Mary) Carr of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughters, Linda (Leonard) Elkins and Brenda (Terry) Jackson; step-son, Ray (Tamara) Carr of Paragould; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one on the way; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10:30-11:30 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 11:30 with Rev. Duane Dutka officiating. Burial will be private. Honorary pallbearers are David Carr, Cayson Carr, Leonard Elkins, Margie Loyd and Terry Jackson.
