Lenora “Tooter” Smith passed into the presence of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on April 25, 2012. She was born 81 years ago to the late Marion and Bertha Welch. She resided in Greene County all of her life, where she met and married her husband of 61 years, Billy “Big Joe” Smith, who preceded her in death in January 2012. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Titus Welch, Charles Welch, Maurice Welch, Drusilla Boling, Irwauna W. “Pud” Haun and son-in-law Terry Hedge. She is survived by her children, Jeff and Frankie Smith, Gail Hedge, Jina and Gary Henson, Gigi and Jerry Wilson all of Paragould, AR., sisters, Talmage Billingsley and Marion Mangrum of Jonesboro and June Harvill of Paragould. She was also a very loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was a member of Commissary Church of Christ for more than 30 years. Visitation will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Friday, April 27th from 6-9 PM with funeral services at Heath Colonial Chapel on Saturday, April 28th at 1:30 P.M. with Darrell Austin and Phil Wilkerson officiating.
