Thelma Lee McConnell DeVore, 79, of Paragould, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at her home. She was born September 26, 1932 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Elvie James and Jennie Bell Price McDaniel. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Nolan McConnell, second husband, Herman DeVore, son, James McConnell, brothers, Sammy F. and James E. McDaniel. She was a retired fashion show consultant and a member of the Vines Chapel Baptist Church. Thelma loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Connie Baine.

Survivors include her daughters: Phyllis Ann Arnold, Darlene Howard; son: Elvin G. McConnell, all of Paragould; sisters: Jeanette Chipman Lowery of Chowchilla, CA; Shirley Johns Ramirez of Paragould, Ruth Ann Langley, Donna Jean Allen; brothers: Larry McDaniel, Rick Allen McDaniel, all of Blytheville; grandchildren: Chad, Monica, Rocky, Jimmy, Jessica, and Desiree; great grandchildren: Brittney, Brandon, Cheyenne, Lisa Marie, Tyler and Kay Kay and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 10:30 AM, Tuesday, with Rev. Nathan Gramling officiating.
